Green Island Resort has a beautiful setting and offers a good variety of activities. However, the experience is overshadowed by the overwhelming number of day-trippers, resulting in a messy and overcrowded environment. While the staff is friendly and the accommodations are decent, the cleanliness and dining experience leave much to be desired.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice balcony overlooking the rainforest, but it felt somewhat dated.
Service
8.0
The staff were very helpful and friendly, which added a touch of hospitality, but they couldn't fully address the overcrowding issues.
Location
5.0
The resort is situated in a stunning location surrounded by rainforest, but the influx of tourists makes it feel crowded and less inviting.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were quite limited, and the quality of food was not up to par. Breakfast choices felt lacking, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities seemed run down and not very clean. The pool area was small and in need of maintenance, detracting from the overall experience.

I had a decent experience at the resort with a mix of positives and negatives. On the one hand, the tranquil environment and friendly staff stood out, making for a pleasant stay. Yet, the aging rooms and the high price point were disappointing. It’s a beautiful setting but it feels overpriced for what is currently offered, especially given the ongoing renovations.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are spacious and clean, but they are in need of renovation. The beds were too soft and sagging in the middle, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep.
Service
9.0
The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond, even fulfilling a special request for an omelet every day, which was fantastic.
Location
7.0
The resort is situated just off the coast of Cairns, but be prepared for the island to be crowded with day-trippers during the day. After 4:30 pm, it becomes much calmer and quieter.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was enjoyable, with a great variety of options, particularly at breakfast. However, the prices were on the higher side.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities are decent. While snorkeling gear and stinger suits are provided for free, I hoped for more activities to be included in the price.

I had a great experience at Green Island Resort, especially with our Reef Suite which was excellent and very comfortable. The island itself is enchanting with plenty of activities, but the dining options and service could use some improvement. It's a wonderful spot for a quick getaway, but be prepared for a bustling atmosphere with many day tourists.

Rooms
9.0
The Reef Suite was excellent, well-appointed, and very clean. It provided a nice quiet escape while still being close to the main facilities.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally friendly and helpful, especially those at the reception. Nevertheless, some service elements fell short during meals.
Location
9.0
The resort is beautifully located on a national park island, with private areas for guests which is a huge plus when day visitors leave.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was enjoyable, but dining options at the main restaurant were disappointing, with service that felt slow and food quality below expectations.
Facilities
7.0
The resort offers great amenities, like private and public pools, and a laundry service, but they can be crowded with day visitors.

Staying on Green Island was a beautiful getaway surrounded by stunning nature and friendly staff. The private pool for resort guests was a huge plus, and I enjoyed peaceful moments after the day visitors left. However, the rooms are in need of renovation, and the dining prices felt quite high considering the overall experience. Despite these drawbacks, I appreciated the unique location and the feeling of being a VIP during my stay.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious and clean, but they definitely need updating. The bedding was too soft and sagging in the middle, which made it less comfortable for sleep.
Service
9.0
The service was fantastic, with attentive staff who made our stay special. They were very helpful and created a relaxed island vibe.
Location
8.0
The island's location is great, especially after the day tourists leave, allowing for peaceful moments to enjoy the natural surroundings.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were decent, but the prices were on the higher side. I enjoyed the food, but it might not be worth the cost for everyone.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were generally good, but they were somewhat affected by ongoing renovations. I hope those updates improve the overall quality.

6.2/10

My experience at the resort was a mix of highs and lows. On the plus side, the staff were incredibly nice, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The location is beautiful with plenty of opportunities for snorkeling right from the beach. Unfortunately, the dining experience didn't meet expectations, and the facilities seemed a bit worn out. Overall, it's a great spot for natural beauty but could use improvement in some areas.

Rooms
6.0
Our room was spacious and clean but had issues like a malfunctioning fridge and a musty smell initially. Overall, it was a decent space to unwind in.
Service
8.0
The staff were genuinely helpful and polite, always eager to fix issues or offer assistance. This made our stay much more enjoyable.
Location
7.0
The resort is in a breathtaking location, but it does attract a lot of day visitors which can be overwhelming at times.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were underwhelming for the price point. The food was okay, but portion sizes felt small and there were some service glitches.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities at the resort were showing their age, especially in communal areas. Some wooden floors were in disrepair, which detracted from the overall impression.
